You make the difference
The Lupus Research Institute (LRI) is pioneering discoveries to prevent, treat, and cure lupus by identifying and championing bold and novel research in this difficult disease.
We don’t receive federal funds to do this; we raise funds from people like you. And we need your help!
As a nonprofit organization [a 501(c)(3)], all contributions to the LRI are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. The tax ID for the Lupus Research Institute is # 06-1565950.
Your contributions are used wisely; we send nearly 96 cents of every dollar contributed straight to the scientists in their laboratories searching for answers to lupus.

“What a distance in time and results we have traveled!
I can still clearly recall the winter day that I and a group of other frustrated yet determined folks-patients and people with children and spouses waking daily to the unforgiving pain and struggles of lupus-gathered together as a Board of Directors to write checks for the first round of Lupus Research Institute investigators.
Now, more than ever, I am convinced that the research strategy to which the LRI has held fast-to solely fund novel and innovative ideas in lupus-largely explains how we've been able to so quickly spawn such dramatic advances in understanding this complicated disease.”
